Is Shea Weber currently with his teammates at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard? Is he in Quebec now? Has he passed his medical tests? The questions are raining about the captain since we all would like him to be near his teammates for the entire 2021-22 schedule.
Renaud Lavoie has gathered some information on the subject, which may disappoint some. At the time of writing this short post, the captain is not around the Montreal Canadiens. He was in Montreal last week for his physical exams in order to send his name on the long term injured list.
Renaud also said that his sources have told him that Weber will be in British Columbia for a good part of the season. He'll show up in Montreal on a few occasions, but nothing more. The dialogue with his teammates will be more via ZOOM... Curse that his leadership will be missed on this team, which will use a committee of leaders (without a captain).
