Elliotte Friedman seems to doubt it. According to the very credible insider, if Jeff Petry were to leave the Tricolore, it would be during the off-season.
This would mean that the ordeal of the number 26 would continue for a few more months, if we believe Friedman's words. It's bound to be a difficult process for Petry, but in the event that the Habs trade Petry, the organization absolutely must maximize the return.
As Denis Gauthier said on "L'Antichambre" Sunday night, Petry has a few good seasons left in him. He's a good hockey player who will likely attract the interest of other GMs. The Habs may not get the moon in return for the right-handed defenseman, but Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton are entitled to demand a decent return.
