"Yeah, I think my first couple of years here, it was more of a feeling, I can't say I was ready for it, I really think you have to experience it (to understand), but it's getting a lot better.
I was able to learn it on the harder side, but in the last 2-3 years, I'm much more comfortable with the Montreal market."
- Jonathan Drouin
Another reporter asked him this:
"Does it scare you to think that this might be your last year in Montreal?"
"Well no, it's the reality of things, it's something I can't control. All I can control is having a good season for myself and for my team.
There's a good chance this is my last season (in Montreal), it's my contract year and that's the reality of things."
- Jonathan Drouin
Asked if he sees himself continuing in Montreal, check out the Quebec forward's answer:
"Yes, I love playing in Montreal, especially with the new management and the new coaching staff that we have, and in addition, I think the Habs are going in a super nice direction, we had a good draft."
Honestly, considering how mean and merciless some fans (and even, some media) are to him, it's surprising as a response, but it speaks volumes about Drouin.
He is persistent and very mentally tough.
Anyway, it was really nice to see him like that. He seems to be doing really well, he seems healthy, and that's promising for the future. Go Jonathan!
