We can understand why Dominique Ducharme has rebuilt his entire lineup after four losses in four games. Something had to happen and this morning we got a glimpse of it with this shuffle.

The picture looked like this, according to Eric Engels:
Drouin - Dvorak - Anderson
Toffoli - Perreault - Caufield
Hoffman - Suzuki - Gallagher
Paquette - Evans - Armia
The extras were Adam Brooks and Artturi Lehkonen.
Christian Dvorak's unit was not affected, but the others simply became something else. Mathieu Perreault, who did not play yesterday, was in the center of Tyler Toffoli and Cole Caufield, while Nick Suzuki could count on Mike Hoffman and Brendan Gallagher.
On the defensive side, it was very unstable. It was always moving. Alexander Romanov and David Savard seemed to be forming something.
Kulak - Petry
Chiarot - Wideman
Romanov - Savard
Niku
It looks like it's going to look like this heading into Thursday's showdown when the Hurricanes visit the Bell Centre. Seems like it makes a lot more sense this way, doesn't it? A mobile defenseman on each pairing, we like that!
Let's just say that the guys were there to work this morning. The perfect example, Joel Armia and Alexander Romanov had a great shuffle. Let's see it happen again in the games, boys!
Now let's hope that this boost works during a regular game...
