Denis Gauthier, former NHL player and part-time analyst at RDS, is an assistant coach with the Drummondville Voltigeurs.
As a member of a hockey organization, he sometimes has to keep professional secrets, even at the expense of his family. This is what happened a few days ago.
Kaylan and Ethan Gauthier, currently two Sherbrooke Phoenix players, are the offspring of Denis Gauthier.
However, a few days ago, Kaylan was a member of the Drummondville Voltigeurs along with his father. The organization had a transaction in place with Sherbrooke for some time to give Kaylan Gauthier to the Phoenix. This situation was obviously known to Denis Gauthier. Despite the fact that it was his son, he still kept the secret until the trade was made official.
Just imagine the funny situation it must have created at home! Family or not, it's part of the business.
