The Montreal Canadiens have had a rash of injuries since the start of the season, including Carey Price, Paul Byron, Joel Edmundson and Mathieu Perreault, among others, so Rocket players have been called up to play with the big club.
Cole Caufield was recently recalled by the Habs, but does not seem to be able to provide offensively. With the new direction the Habs will take under Jeff Gorton, the 20-year-old will probably return to Laval.
The Tricolore is currently in a losing season, so perhaps the organization will want their youngsters to dominate in the lower categories and learn to win. Caufield is in Montreal to fill a jersey right now, but with the return of the veterans, someone is going to have to step up, and it's likely to be number 22.
