We all know that, aside from hockey, Carey Price has a profound love for hunting and fishing. The goalie has always been an ardent defender of his sporting passions.
Even, we remember, that it caused a controversy last December, when he defended pro-gun rights.
Price is once again drawing attention to himself with one of his passions, fishing this time, but in a completely different and much more positive way. He recently made a remarkable catch that greatly impressed his guide, Matt Szeto.
The latter recently posted on his Instagram account, pictures of the imposing 40-inch striped bass that bit Price's line. All of this happened on the Stewiacke River in Nova Scotia.
I am extremely grateful and honored to have had the opportunity to accompany Carey Price on the water and to show him our world-renowned striped bass fishery.
It quickly became clear to me why he is considered an incredible role model for so many people. Thank you, Carey, for the excitement, the laughs, and the life advice. – Matt Szeto
It's good to see Price happy and comfortable with himself.
