Edmonton Oilers forward Josh Archibald recently received some very bad news from his doctor. After contracting the COVID-19 virus over the summer, Archibald received complications from the disease. He is now dealing with heart problems, namely myocarditis.
As far as we know, Archibald will be sidelined for quite some time. In the worst case scenario, one would think that his career would be in jeopardy due to these complications. With all the evidence of this illness, it's hard to believe it's just the flu, isn't it?
Archibald is 28 years old and has played a total of 235 NHL games with the Penguins, Coyotes and Oilers, collecting 235 points in the process.
