Big trade upcoming between the Habs and the Caps? Marc Denis has just dropped a bomb!

Carey Price's situation has been worrying more and more for the past few weeks and we wonder, not only if he will be back this season, but we also wonder about the rest of his career.

If Price does not return with the Canadiens, Kent will absolutely have to find a short-term plan B regarding the situation in the crease.

Marc Denis launched a real bombshell on Thursday evening during the Canadiens' pre-game on RDS. According to the team's game analyst, Kent Hughes inquired about the availability of Washington Capitals goaltender Ilya Samsonov.

Long considered the team's goaltender of the future (for the Caps), Samsovov has seen his playing time significantly reduced this season due to the excellent performance of the Capitals' other goaltender, Vitek Vanecek.

The latter has better numbers, which could suggest that Capitals GM Brian MacLellan could be tempted to trade him (and acquire a guy like Fleury).

And since there's never smoke without fire, two Capitals scouts were spotted at the Bell Center during Thursday night's game against the Blues.

Do you see Kent Hughes acquiring Ilya Samsonov?
