Last night, Junior Team Canada put on a very convincing performance against Slovakia at the WJC, and Dave Cameron's men ended up winning the game 11-1.
On this subject, many fans noticed something that caused a lot of talk yesterday on social networks. Even though they were overly dominant, the Roy-McTavish-Bedard trio was dismantled after two periods.
So who will be Canada's first line in the next game?
Othmann - McTavish - Bedard
or
Roy - McTavish - Bedard
After the game, Head Coach Dave Cameron had this to say about the decision:
"Not to sound too arrogant, but the game was set. It gave us the latitude to try some experiments that we had discussed amongst ourselves."
- Dave Cameron, via Eric Leblanc (RDS.ca)
Cameron then adds that the trios are not set in stone and that other changes could follow for the rest of the tournament. Will Joshua Roy find his place on the first trio?
From the way he was talking, it doesn't look like it (unfortunately and strangely), but it's something to watch!
Next game for Team Canada Junior: tomorrow against the Czech Republic.
