Training camps are currently underway for the various teams from the major participating countries and final selections are being made to the national teams.
To that effect, we have just learned that three Habs prospects have received bad news. Lane Hutson, Luke Tuch and Blake Biondi have all been cut.
In the case of Hutson, it's rather surprising considering his performance at the Montreal Canadiens' development camp and considering his status as an electrifying defenseman, but it must be said that Team USA Junior has a history.
They have often ignored small players. In particular, they ignored players like Alex DeBrincat, even though he was already very dominant at the time.
In the cases of Tuch and Biondi, this was their last chance to play in this tournament, as they are both 20 years old.
Lane Hutson will be able to compete again in December.
