In the last few minutes, the American Hockey League's player safety committee announced the following regarding Montreal Canadiens prospect Jayden Struble.

"The American Hockey League's player safety committee announced today that Laval Rocket defenseman Jayden Struble has been suspended for three (3) games, and Manitoba Moose forward Jeff Malott has been suspended for one (1) game due to their actions during the November 12th game."

He will therefore have to temporarily vacate his spot in the lineup, which will be a significant loss for the Rocket. Struble was considered the most reliable defenseman of the CH's farm team by many.

This may give more opportunities to a player like Mattias Norlinder, who had an excellent training camp in September and almost started the season with the Habs.

Note that Struble was suspended for jumping onto the ice to fight after the game.
