On this Thursday, April 7th, we have just learned a very big news in the NHL.
The excellent GM of the San Jose Sharks, Doug Wilson has suddenly announced his resignation.
Remember that a few months ago, he had to take a break for health reasons, and he seemed to be back in shape since.
Finally, today, he has just bowed out to really concentrate on taking care of himself, his loved ones and his health. He was in office since May 13, 2003, wow!
Wilson will have reached the playoffs 14 times since 2003, in addition to reaching the Stanley Cup Final.
The Sharks owner announced that the search for a new GM will begin, initially with candidates from outside the organization.
Joe Will will be the interim GM. Could they be looking externally, to replace Doug Wilson? Mathieu Darche and Marc Bergevin could be options.
