It was then the turn of the Colorado Avalanche's new forward, Artturi Lehkonen, to speak out about his departure from Montreal. As reported by Habs Chronicle, check out the message posted by "Lehky" on Instagram, it immediately went viral on social media.
"I want to express my thanks to the Montreal Canadiens and the city of Montreal for the past six years. This has always been my second home with great teammates, a great fan base and a top notch organization. I will never forget my first games with the Tricolore and the memories I had with my friends back then. All good things unfortunately come to an end at some point and now it's time for me to live a new chapter in Colorado," his post reads.
Traded to the Colorado Avalanche on Monday as part of the NHL trade deadline for Justin Barron as well as a second-round pick in the 2024 amateur auction, Lehkonen was clearly appreciated by his teammates, as evidenced by the many comments, including Cole Caufield, Brendan Gallagher, Nick Suzuki and even, Tyler Toffoli. Can't wait to see Lehkonen in the playoffs and hopefully in the Stanley Cup Final. He is made for this kind of game.
