In the end, no one was placed on waivers in the NHL today for the Montreal Canadiens, on this day of roster freeze.
However, under his hat as GM of the Laval Rocket, Kent Hughes still made moves. He made two staff moves, as two Rocket players have just been sent to the Trois-Rivières Lions.
"The Rocket have assigned forwards Jakov Novak and Alex-Olivier Voyer to the Trois-Rivières Lions." - Laval Rocket
Noteworthy, then, for fans of the Habs' AHL team.
See what these staff moves mean:
"The Rocket have returned forwards Jakov Novak and Alex-Olivier Voyer to the Trois-Rivières Lions today. This means that
Xavier Simoneau has been cleared to play tomorrow night. The health status of Lias Andersson and
Sean Farrell is progressing, but they will not play tomorrow." - Anthony Marcotte
We love it! Even for Lias Andersson and Sean Farrell, these are excellent news and could even announce reinforcements coming for the Montreal Canadiens.
Andersson, 25, has 9 points in 10 games this season in Laval. Farrell has 12 points in 18 games, while Simoneau has 12 in 20 games.
