Following the intense period of trades and signings in the NHL, the Colorado Avalanche's General Manager, and Jonathan Drouin's new GM, Chris MacFarland, confirmed an interesting rumor about the Quebec forward.
The word had been circulating for several weeks, and especially since Drouin's signing in Colorado, but it's now confirmed.
This promises to be interesting! We're looking forward to seeing this and we're so hopeful for Drouin. Imagine if he plays a full season, healthy, with MacKinnon and Rantanen.
Drouin, 28 years old, was a 3rd overall pick in 2013. He collected 29 points in 58 games last season with the Montreal Canadiens, and 105 points in 49 games in the LHJMQ with Mackinnon.
Mackinnon, 27 years old, was a 1st overall pick in 2013. He collected 111 points in 71 games last season with the Colorado Avalanche, and 75 points in 44 games in the LHJMQ with Drouin.
