Well because of that solid check, Romanov was just punished by the National Hockey League for the very first time with his new team.
"Alexander Romanov of the New York Islanders has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowed under the collective bargaining agreement, for charging Vincent Trocheck of the Rangers." - NHL Department of Player Safety
