Acquisition for Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens? The GM Just Received a Strong Message from Forward Max Comtois
In the past few hours, Quebecois forward Maxime Comtois was interviewed on the radio, and he made some very interesting statements.
It's worth noting that he is currently a free agent and can sign with any team of his choice.
During the interview, he revealed the following:
His departure from Anaheim was a mutual decision between him and the team.
He has been working hard this summer to improve his speed, and the results are already showing.
He is already in negotiations with certain teams for a new contract.
He clearly mentioned his desire to play with the Montreal Canadiens.
While he couldn't disclose the identities of the teams he is currently negotiating with, his response regarding the Canadiens spoke volumes.
Stay tuned!
Regarding the Canadiens and his interest in signing here, Comtois also added the following:
"For sure! It's the team I've watched since my childhood. Honestly, I'm someone who loves playing under pressure, so big markets definitely attract me.
It would depend on several factors, but for sure, I would consider it."

Comtois is currently spending the summer in Montreal.
The 24-year-old forward has accumulated 86 points, including 38 goals, in 210 NHL games since his arrival in the 2018-2019 season.
Would you offer him a one-year contract worth 1 million dollars? His next contract is likely to be a "prove it deal."
