The CapFriendly.com, the number one reference for the National Hockey League and a reliable source for many general managers, has just announced that on its platform, the trade between the Vegas Golden Knights, and the Anaheim Ducks, involving Evgeni Dadonov has been officially called off. (and reversed)
They explain this by mentioning that the NHL still considers Dadonov to be a Vegas Golden Knights player at this time, and he still counts against their payroll. (and as you know, the deadline has passed)
Remember that the reputable Jesse Granger was also saying earlier that two very reliable sources have confirmed to him that, barring a major turnaround, the trade will indeed be cancelled. We are waiting for an official confirmation, but it is heading in that direction.
The issue: Anaheim is on Dadonov's no-trade list and he does not want to play there. However, the Golden Knights would not have received the right information when he was previously acquired, in relation to this famous no-trade list.
