After signing on the bottom of the Hurricanes' offer sheet on August 28, Jesperi Kotkaniemi seems to be very happy in Carolina. The former Tricolore loves his new team so much that he is already thinking about signing a long-term deal with them.
Indeed, discussions between KK and Hurricanes general manager Don Waddell have already begun and the goal is to reach a long-term agreement. "Our goal is to reach a long-term agreement with him. We talked last week and we'll continue our talks in the next few days. We're going to find a situation where everyone is happy," Waddell said.
Kotkaniemi is doing quite well this season for the Canes with 20 points in 42 games. He has the same amount of points as last year with the Habs in 14 fewer games. It will be interesting to see what his annual salary will be with his new deal.
What do you think his new contract will look like?
