As you know, right now, we are at the beginning of the off-season in the National Hockey League and therefore, at the beginning of many big signings and transactions. Thus, there are several rumors circulating around the Montreal Canadiens.
It's normal, there is a lot of talk behind the scenes.
However, it's not only in Montreal that the rumors are flying.
The Vancouver Canucks also want to reduce their payroll and make big moves. They are very tight right now and it's shaping up to be an eventful summer there as well.
Over the past few months, there has been a lot of speculation about 29-year-old star forward JT Miller, who is making 5.25 million per season through 2023 and has 99 points (32 goals) in 80 games this year.
He is truly dominant and the Rangers are still biting their fingers for trading him.

Well, on that very subject, there's reporter Ben Kuzma (The Province), who believes that the Miller rumors will start up again and this time he will be traded.
So where might he end up?
Given that Miller was drafted (and developed) by the Rangers, and given that Emilie Castonguay is now with the Canucks, Kuzma is proposing a deal with Alexis Lafreniere as the basis for the trade, for JT Miller.
You can guess that the reactions are numerous, because yes Miller is a much more dominant player than Lafreniere right now (99 points vs 31 points this season), but he is also considerably older (29 years old vs 20 years old) and he will also be a free agent in 2023.
And if they do, they'll probably ask for more. (Or more guarantees, at least) But still, let's throw the question out there, for fun.
Who do you think would win the trade?
To VANCOUVER - Alexis Lafreniere
To NEW YORK - J.T. Miller
