Earlier today, the Montreal Canadiens surprised us by sending young defenseman Arber Xhekaj to the AHL, with the Laval Rocket.

It's causing a lot of reactions all over the web, and it's been a hot topic on BPM Sports airwaves.

Georges Laraque just made a huge statement regarding Xhekaj.

"I'm telling you, it starts with this (the demotion to the AHL) and I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't finish the year in Montreal."

- Laraque, who also talks about the time when Martin St-Louis lost patience with the Sheriff

Do you really believe that the CH is preparing to trade Arber Xhekaj? What do you think he's worth on the market? Georges also talks about the excess of defensemen to justify his point.

"Are the Canadiens getting ready to trade Arber Xhekaj? That's what Georges Laraque thinks, who finds that the team is misusing the young defenseman." - BPM Sports

In any case, Laraque really doesn't seem to appreciate the CH's decision to send Xhekaj with the Rocket, while the latter has done everything to fight to earn his place.

"We're watching what this team can do without him, and if this team continues to manage without him like this, well they're going to say they don't need him. (Xhekaj)" - Laraque
