Forward Austin Watson has just signed a contract.

The player who previously received a good beating from Montreal Canadiens defenseman Arber Xhekaj has signed a professional tryout contract with the Detroit Red Wings, meaning yes, he will be in the same division as the Habs.
Watson was arrogant in his comments toward Xhekaj afterward, so we can absolutely expect him to try to get his revenge eventually.

Austin Watson signs a professional tryout contract with the Detroit Red Wings

That's what the Wings' management just announced.
He has been invited to their training camp, giving him the chance to earn a spot and, more importantly, secure a standard contract.
Austin Watson, 32, is a big forward standing 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 240 pounds. He was a first-round pick (18th overall) by the Nashville Predators in 2010 and has accumulated 118 points in 515 NHL career games.
He has also added 705 penalty minutes.
From what we've read, he has an excellent chance of playing with the Red Wings this season. Let's just say he didn't choose this PTO offer by accident.
Details to follow.
