It's really peculiar, but unfortunately, it could speak volumes about Trevor Zegras's urgent need to change his environment and get a fresh start.
Zegras, who is still under contract with the Anaheim Ducks and earns $5.75 million a year, is likely to continue being involved in various trade rumors.
It's also worth noting that the Canadiens had a trade in place to acquire Trevor Zegras, a deal involving Logan Mailloux, but Kent Hughes decided not to move forward.
