In an official public relations release from the Arizona Coyotes, the organization has identified four cities where the team might relocate, including two surprise names that are coming out of nowhere for the very first time.
The cities in question are:
-Mesa
-Scottsdale
-Chandler
-Gilbert
All these cities are on the outskirts, and even further from Downtown, compared to Tempe (perhaps with the exception of Scottsdale).
This story is really taking on peculiar, if not ridiculous, aspects, and it's starting to be loudly denounced by well-known names in the field like Frank Seravalli.
"Is this an NHL franchise or a local Junior B team?
It's absolutely breathtaking that this is a thing. The right answer is, of course, a municipality that genuinely wants the Yotes - after two have said no."
See the tweet in question, with the results:
This is starting to become very unflattering for Gary Bettman and for the National Hockey League as a whole.
And you, if you were the NHL commissioner, what would you do?
