Gary Bettman reportedly made a big decision about the Coyotes' relocation, and a big city was ruled out
In recent days, one of the major topics in the hockey world, unfortunately overshadowing the current NHL playoffs, is the possible relocation of the Coyotes.
Will they be moved elsewhere in Arizona? To Houston? Kansas City? Quebec City? Salt Lake City?
Immediately after the failure in Tempe, the majority of experts speculated that the Coyotes would likely be relocated to Houston.
Houston truly seemed like the most logical destination for the Coyotes if they were to leave Arizona.
However, in the past few days, there has been less talk about Houston and more about cities like Kansas City and Salt Lake City.
Why?
Gary Bettman has reportedly identified an important factor:
"There would be significantly more money to be made for them if the NHL proceeds with an expansion to Houston, compared to a simple relocation."
This is an interesting scenario to consider.
