As Charles-Alexis Brisebois points out, and according to the renowned Frank Seravalli, Kent Hughes has literally picked up the phone again in the Jake Allen file.
He's active!
They notably mentioned this morning, live, that a call to this effect was even placed today.
So, this will be an interesting case to follow, but things are moving behind the scenes.
Recall that Elliotte Friedman mentioned last night that Kent Hughes has set his price for Jake Allen, and he will not trade him until another club is willing to pay this set price.
We're talking about a draft pick, and quite a high draft pick in case of significant salary retention.
There are several teams, like the New Jersey Devils for example, who are seriously in need of reinforcement in goal so it's not impossible that someone eventually calls Hughes and gives the fair value in exchange for the veteran Allen.
Case to follow, but smoke is starting to rise in this case again!
