Renaud Lavoie confirms that the rumors about Jordan Harris were true, and it explains his trade

It slightly flew under the radar, which is understandable with all the excitement surrounding the arrival of the 6-foot-5 power scorer, but the TVA Sports journalist has brought an important detail to light.

Over the past few weeks, and even in the last few months, Jordan Harris's name has been circulating a lot in trade rumors.

Well, it turns out these rumors were indeed well-founded.

It's unfortunate because he's an extraordinary person and a good defenseman, but there's a congestion on the blue line for the Montreal Canadiens.

Harris had therefore been on the trade market for a good while, obviously due to the surplus of left-handed defensemen.

Now, Harris's departure will give another young defenseman a better chance to establish themselves in the Canadiens' lineup.

He has accumulated 32 points in 131 career games with the Habs, while maintaining a respectable -5 rating.

Harris will bring great stability and a strong presence to the Columbus locker room.
