We now have confirmation that Noah Dobson has been traded to the Montreal Canadiens.

Kevin Weekes was the first to break the major news to Habs fans.
But that's not all.
Elliotte Friedman just added that Dobson has also signed a contract extension with the Canadiens.
"Noah Dobson is traded to Montreal and signs an eight-year contract extension worth $9.5 million per season."

He was reportedly asking for $11 million per year, but Kent Hughes managed to get him signed for $9.5 million annually - an excellent deal under the circumstances.

The Montreal Canadiens have acquired Noah Dobson in a trade with the New York Islanders.

Dobson signs an eight-year extension with an AAV of $9.5 million.

What the Canadiens Gave Up for Noah Dobson Has Just Been Announced and Confirmed

According to multiple sources, in return for Dobson, Kent Hughes sent the following to the New York Islanders: his two first-round picks for tonight (16th and 17th overall) as well as young forward Emil Heineman.
What a trade for the Habs, in my humble opinion.
