Wow.

It will be really interesting to see if this will finally make things move, or not, but Jake Allen's agent just made a major statement.

Live from TVA Sports, on Jean-Charles Lajoie's show, agent Allain Roy outright declared this:

«Whether it's Jake or someone else, a goalie will have to be traded,» the three-goalie situation in front of the Canadiens' net is coming to an end anyway.

That's what he hopes for, and according to veteran Allen's agent, we will soon have an answer.

«Jake is a good professional, but mentally, it's not easy for him with the three-goalie situation and hearing rumors, like the one with the Avalanche last week.

It's quite frustrating, but we will find a solution by the end of the season.

If it's not in March, it will be this summer.»

Interesting! We did not expect this, but it turned out to be a major interview with Jake Allen's agent.

He thus confirms what Kent Hughes recently mentioned. The Canadiens will not have three goalies next year. (one of them will leave by this summer at the latest)

Kent Hughes still has several days to find a solution, but a public statement of this kind will certainly put a bit more pressure on him.

Credit and full interview:

Allen, 33 years old, has a record of 5-11-3 this season, a goals against average of 3.65, and a save percentage of .894.

He earns $3.85 million per year until 2025.
