Journalist Eric Engels has just published a very interesting interview with Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes.
When asked whether we should expect Price's contract to actually be traded soon, Hughes gave an interesting answer.
"I wouldn't ever just expect anything to happen, because things don't always happen when you want them to,"
"But we'll continue to explore ways to create cap flexibility."

Bingo! In the end, that's exactly what Kent Hughes' next "move" will be-creating flexibility on the salary cap.
Obviously, trading
Carey Price's contract would be a great way to achieve that, but there are also other ways to make it happen.
Kent Hughes reveals that his next move will be aimed at creating salary cap flexibility
I'll repeat myself, but clearly this could come through a Carey Price trade, just as it could come through another, more straightforward move (such as waivers, for example).
"We're fine, we don't have to trade Carey Price," he added. "If we can find a trade to move his contract that makes sense for us and makes sense for another team, we'll pursue it. But we don't have to."

So, this will be something to watch in the coming weeks!
We'll be seeing some action soon in Montreal!
