Kent Hughes is currently engaged in trade talks according to insider
The renowned David Pagnotta has just revealed that Kent Hughes is engaged in trade talks, and we have the details.
It's not surprising because even though there have been several trades announced this week in the NHL (none involving the Montreal Canadiens), Hughes and Jeff Gorton are very active behind the scenes and also have many discussions over the phone.
David Pagnotta confirms that Kent Hughes is active in the trade market and is trying to finalize a significant trade
«Kent Hughes is engaged in conversations [with teams in the trade market], and he is somewhat exploring the proven top-6 NHL forwards that are available. He is focusing on wingers and wants to add more goals to this lineup, which is why we are hearing all these speculations about
Martin Necas and
Trevor Zegras.»

We can also add to these names that of young
Rutger McGroarty, and that of
Cole Eiserman, who is set to meet with the Montreal Canadiens' management today (which is causing a lot of buzz).
Do not rule out the possibility of seeing Kent Hughes finalize a trade to add another top-15 pick to draft Eiserman.
He wants to add goals to the Canadiens' lineup? Well, Eiserman is THE best goal scorer of the 2024 draft.
This is a story to follow, especially by tomorrow night.
