A post has quickly gone viral on social media in the last few seconds.

Former NHL player Matt Murley, from Barstool, just posted this.
"Hearing Jake Allen to the Avalanche!

Colorado grabs the veteran netminder they need to secure their goaltending for another Cup run!!!"

- Matt Murley

Who is Matt Murley? He is a former player for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Phoenix Coyotes who is currently an expert for Barstool and for Spittin' Chiclets, the most popular hockey podcast in the world.
The post was indeed shared by the official page of the very popular podcast Spittin' Chiclets, but no other journalist has confirmed it so let's wait and see.

Murley has over 100,000 followers on his social media so he seems to be reliable, but it is reminded that no other reputable journalist has confirmed the news.
Adrian Dater, a journalist from Colorado who covers the Avalanche, has just added this:
"Hearing Avs sniffing around Jake Allen pretty hard."

Clearly, something is happening behind the scenes, and we will keep you updated on any developments.
Murley mentions that it's settled, Dater mentions that there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes between Montreal and Colorado for Jake Allen, but no official announcement has been made at the time of writing.
The only one to have mentioned that the trade is settled is Murley.
Details to follow.
