Here are the two Canadiens players that Hughes could have traded to Winnipeg for McGroarty

The young Rutger McGroarty was finally traded by the Winnipeg Jets in the past few hours, after often being linked to the Montreal Canadiens.
He would have been a logical target for Kent Hughes, especially before the
Patrik Laine trade, because he is a very promising 20-year-old who really seems to have the makings of a top-6 forward.
However, the price to pay was considerable (much higher than what was paid to acquire Laine).
The Pittsburgh Penguins traded the young
Brayden Yager to acquire
Rutger McGroarty. Knowing this, what should the Canadiens have traded to the Winnipeg Jets to make it happen?
The excellent Marco D'Amico has just commented on a similar return for Montreal.
And you, would you have traded Joshua Roy or Michael Hage for Rutger McGroarty? I don't see how it would have been advantageous for the Canadiens, even though the new Penguins prospect is excellent.
Especially knowing how much Kent Hughes and the Habs management love Hage.
I really believe that, for the acquisition cost, Patrik Laine was much more interesting for Montreal compared to McGroarty.
Good decision by Kent Hughes!
