Carey Price's contract has finally been traded to the San Jose Sharks.

In return, Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens acquired their second 22-year-old player of the summer, and his name is Gannon Laroque.
Well, he is obviously far less promising than Zachary Bolduc, but we still invite you to get to know him.

The Habs thus trade Carey Price + a 2026 5th-round pick, in exchange for the young Laroque.
But who is Gannon Laroque?
We're talking about a 22-year-old, right-shooting defenseman, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 201 pounds, and a fourth-round pick (103rd overall) of the San Jose Sharks in 2021.
Unfortunately, Laroque has dealt with a multitude of injuries since being drafted by the Sharks.
He didn't even play hockey last season, after putting up 2 points in 9 games with the Sharks' farm team (in the American Hockey League).
In junior, Laroque notably recorded 52 points in 63 games with the Victoria Royals in the WHL in 2021-22, as well as 5 points in 4 games with the same team in 2022-23.
He was really off to a strong start, but then the injuries came and derailed everything..
A story to follow!
