We have a major trade to announce in the National Hockey League, involving center Dylan Cozens.
According to the well-respected Kevin Weekes, the Ottawa Senators have acquired center Dylan Cozens, with
Josh Norris and
Jacob Bernard-Docker also involved in the trade.
"I'm told that the Senators and Sabres are working on a potential trade that could include Josh Norris and Jacob Bernard-Docker."
- Kevin Weekes
David Calabretta confirms that Dylan Cozens has been traded to the Ottawa Senators: one less center target for the Montreal Canadiens
Cozens, 24, is a 6-foot-3, 207-pound center.
He has accumulated 197 points in 341 career NHL games, including 77 goals, and has recorded 31 points in 61 games this season (he had 68 points and 31 goals during the 2022-23 campaign).
The young center is signed through 2030, at $7.1 million per year.
From a source not involved in the deal,
"We are hearing that it's Cozens+ for Norris and JBD."
- Cam Robinson
Over the past few weeks, several rumors linked Dylan Cozens to the Montreal Canadiens, but in the end, it was their arch-rival, the Senators, who landed the talented 24-year-old center.
Good luck in Ottawa Dylan! More details to follow.
