There has been action on the NHL waivers in the last minutes and on this day after the SuperBowl.
First, we have a surprise as the Ottawa Senators put another tough guy on waivers!
Zack MacEwen, who has had his conflicts with Michael Pezzetta and Arber Xhekaj in the past, is available absolutely for free. He will likely be claimed because he is one of the most feared players in the NHL.

MacEwen, 27, is a giant at 6 feet 4 inches and 240 pounds. He has accumulated nearly 300 penalty minutes in 208 career NHL games. (15 goals and 31 points)

Also regarding waivers, please note that Willman and Toninato were not claimed today.
