He's making more and more noise with his podcast Stanley25, alongside JT Utah, and he just revealed a very interesting scoop.

Maxime Truman has just revealed that Cayden Primeau was almost traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets

With eleven days to go until the NHL trade deadline, Truman just mentioned this in his most recent article:

"I had the chance to discuss with someone well-placed over the last few days; they confirmed to me that Cayden Primeau was almost traded to the Blue Jackets at the start of the season."

The complete article:

According to his source, the offer from the Blue Jackets was slightly insufficient in the eyes of Kent Hughes, but it almost happened.

Interesting.

This shows that the Habs are not necessarily shopping "only" Jake Allen, who was not of interest to Columbus in these trade discussions.

Kent Hughes is clearly really trying to end the three-goalie situation, but it's not easy.

"It seems, according to the same person, that the Oilers also showed interest in Primeau a bit before Christmas."

- Maxime Truman

He continues to believe that Hughes would really prefer to trade Jake Allen, especially after recent statements by his agent, but clearly Primeau is generating more interest.

In any case, we recommend the full article above. Things are moving, behind the scenes, at least.
