We have just learned that the Flyers want to emulate the Canadiens: a three-team trade is in their plans
Earlier today, we discussed the possibility that Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens might once again be involved as a third party in a three-team trade.
Hughes has done this a few times before, and especially after the unfortunate major injury suffered by Kirby Dach, it might happen again in the short term. (to add more draft picks and prospects)
However, the Canadiens now have some competition in this area.
We've indeed learned that Daniel Brière and the Philadelphia Flyers have taken a liking to this strategy, and they'd also like to take on salary, possibly in a three-team trade, in exchange for picks/prospects.
So they could also be the third team in an imminent trade like that of Conor Garland.
The Flyers are also in the race to acquire Mathieu Joseph from the Ottawa Senators, but they'd want a 1st round pick or Tyler Boucher in addition.
Lots of files on Danny B's desk in Philly.
