Trade alert between the Ottawa Senators and the Devils
In the last few minutes, there was a trade in the NHL between the Ottawa Senators and the New Jersey Devils.
The Sens traded forward Jayce Hawryluk to the Devils in exchange for future considerations.
This is a good move for the New Jersey farm team, as they approach the end of the American Hockey League season.
Hawryluk, 27, was the 32nd overall pick in the 2014 NHL draft, making him a high pick.
He has accumulated 27 career points in the NHL (98 games played) and has tallied 8 points in 19 games this season in the American League.
Obviously, since the trade was completed after the NHL trade deadline, Hawryluk cannot be recalled by the Devils.
More details to follow.
