Trade Alert: The Bruins do it again and trade a former first-round pick
After the significant trade just a few minutes earlier involving Taylor Hall, the Boston Bruins have just completed a second trade today, and this time, it's with the New Jersey Devils.
Having freed up $6M from their payroll, they've traded the young forward Shane Bowers, who was a first-round pick in 2017, to the Devils in exchange for 24-year-old defenseman Reilly Walsh.
Bowers was acquired by Boston at the last trade deadline in exchange for goalie Keith Kinkaid. He has ultimately only passed through the Bruins organization.
