Andrei Vasilevskiy is back in the game, and much earlier than expected! Wow!
Every day, we monitor the NHL waivers to see the available players, but today, a waiver announcement is extremely interesting for another reason.
The Lightning has just placed goaltender Matt Tomkins on waivers.
You guessed it. This confirms Vasilevskiy's return to the game, which is obviously major news in the NHL.
Tomkins, 29 years old, has played three games for Tampa Bay. (one win, an average of 3.4 and a save percentage of 0.889)
Also note that forward Vinni Lettieri has been placed on waivers by the Minnesota Wild.
