Signing Alert: Kent Hughes has just made an Announcement Regarding a Forward
Just recently, as general manager of Laval Rocket, Kent Hughes has made a new signing.
This is about a two-season contract extension for the forward Mitchell Stephens. $775,000 NHL / $300,000 AHL ($385,000 guaranteed).
Stephens, 26 years old, was the 33rd overall pick in 2015 by the Tampa Bay Lightning. He collected a solid 41 points (20 goals) in 68 games last season with the Laval Rocket. He also has 13 points in the NHL.
This is great news for the depth of the Laval Rocket team, and the CH organization, as he was one of the team's leaders last season. A mentor for the numerous Canadiens rookies who will be transitioning to the American League next year.
