During this festive and quieter period in the NHL, for the Holiday Season, the renowned insider Chris Johnston has just published an article that is causing quite a stir.

There's talk of a trade involving Tage Thompson and Brady Tkachuk, several transactions involving the excellent Elias Lindholm, but the first transaction in the article is as follows.

Well, obviously we wouldn't make this trade, especially after Slaf's recent performances, but it's especially interesting to read Johnston's response.

"This one was cheeeeeky. The player Montreal drafted first overall in 2022 for one of those it passed over to do so. Ultimately, I think it's the
Canadiens that say no to this proposed deal. Slafkovsk� has obviously faced a steep learning curve early in his NHL career, but I've never sensed any buyer's remorse among Montreal's management about that pick. They still believe in his talent and are feeling encouraged by his
