Pierre-Luc Dubois to be traded today? A source has just revealed the two other players who would be involved
Rumors are swirling that a trade involving Pierre-Luc Dubois is imminent, as the NHL 2023 Draft approaches. Well-known insider David Pagnotta has released information regarding the potential move.
"All eyes on the #GoKingsGo as they try to get to the finish line with the #GoJetsGo to acquire Pierre-Luc Dubois. Multiple players/pieces would be going to Winnipeg if this gets done, including Gabe Vilardi and Alex Iafallo, and an extension for PLD would be expected." - Pagnotta
Yesterday, we learned that Vilardi would be involved in a major trade, and now here we are finding out that Alex Iafallo would also be involved.
Vilardi, 23 years old, is a 6ft 3in and 215 pound centre from Ontario. He had an impressive 41 points (23 goals) in 63 games this season with the Kings. He is a restricted free agent this summer and was drafted 11th overall in 2017, just ahead of Nick Suzuki (13th).
As for Iafallo, he is a 29-year-old winger. He amassed 36 points in 59 games during the 2022-23 season (at a 50 point per full season pace). He is signed up until 2025 at $4 million per year.
Details will follow but expect Dubois to be traded within the next few hours.
