Major last-minute surprise on the NHL waivers
In the last few seconds, we've witnessed another surprise in the National Hockey League's waivers and it will be really interesting to see the outcome within the next 24 hours.
The Columbus Blue Jackets have just placed promising young forward Emil Bemstrom on waivers.
Bemstrom, 24, is a right-handed goal scorer who has tallied 29 career goals in the NHL.
He dominated the AHL last season, notching 14 goals and 31 points in just 21 games. He was also sensational at the age of 19 in the SHL (23 goals in 47 games).
This season in Columbus, he has accumulated 3 goals and 4 points in 12 games.
