Dramatic turn of events at the NHL waivers and the Montreal Canadiens must consider it
Wow.
We had our first surprise of the season at the NHL waivers.
Big surprise at the NHL waivers today.
In the last few seconds, the Pittsburgh Penguins announced that they are placing their defender Ty Smith on the NHL waivers.
This is big because he is the defender they got by trading one of their defensive mainstays, John Marino.
Smith is a 17th overall pick (1st round) from the 2018 draft.
