Today, we were treated to a big surprise at the start of the Montreal Canadiens' practice.
Joel Edmundson practiced with his teammates!
With the trade deadline just a few days away, and hours after Jake McCabe was traded for a first round pick (and more), this is major.
If that was the only news, it would be a simple surprise, but why talk about a big surprise here?

Edmundson is wearing a regular jersey and may already be receiving contact.

In a press briefing in the last few minutes, Montreal Canadiens head coach Martin St-Louis had this to say.
"There's a chance Edmundson will play tomorrow, but it's not guaranteed."
He could possibly return to the game tomorrow! It's a big turnaround and we love it!
Edmundson's return to action could change a lot of things for general manager Kent Hughes, with the deadline just a few days away.
