BREAKING: Alex DeBrincat is traded, and we now know his new team
Alex DeBrincat has made it clear to the Senators that he intends to test the free agent market next year. The forward did not want to commit to a long-term contract without knowing who the new owner would be.
Now that the team has been sold, DeBrincat doesn't appear to be any more convinced, and a trade is imminent.
According to Elliotte Friedman, a deal with the Red Wings will be announced shortly.
"Believe we will get some Alex DeBrincat closure in the near future. Not sure of all the players, picks and contracts involved. Detroit, as expected." - Eliotte Friedman
