As their goaltender Matt Murray is back on the ice, and while Ilya Samsonov seems to be mentally shaken, the Toronto Maple Leafs had a very important decision to make in front of the net for tonight's game.

The verdict has just been announced, and to the surprise of some Maple Leafs fans, it's Ilya Samsonov who remains the trusted man for Sheldon Keefe and Toronto.

Samsonov, 26 years old, has a save percentage of 0.895 in eight games during the current 2023 playoffs (with a 4-4 record and a 3.27 average).
During the regular season, he had a save percentage of 0.919 and a 2.33 average.
As for the other Leafs goaltenders, Joseph Woll was outstanding during the regular season (with a 2.16 average and a 0.935 save percentage) while Matt Murray maintained decent numbers (3.01 average and 0.903 save percentage).
